Slide Show Tours

One of the ways that we have kept paddlers informed of the project has been through the opportunity to speak at a series of national slide show tours. These have featured world class paddlers, usually talking about the rivers they have run (although Whit Deschner did diverge a bit from these instructions in his usual zany fashion!) and have given an opportunity to speak about the whitewater course before the evenings main event.

Apart from being an excellent evening's entertainemnt they are also a chance get to meet the other paddlers in the area and share a few beers later on.

There's a lot of work goes into them - we must especially thank all the local organisers and those who have assisted them in running the evenings, especially Tiso's ltd and Ian White for making these shows happen.

Guy Baker showed his video of the descent of the White Nile in Uganda after showing an impressive selection of slides from what seemed like most countries around the world.

Dave Manby told us some of the tales from his new book collecting stories from some the folks daft enough to have boated with him through the years.
